MS Bike Tour

2003 Multiple Sclerosis Cactus and Crude 150 Mile Bike Tour:

The Tour took place on Saturday and Sunday, July 19th and 20th. Distance for the first day was a meandering 75 miles starting in Midland and ending in Big Spring. This is the day that MARC Hams participated. The second day went 75 miles from Big Spring to Post. The Big Spring Amateur Radio Club provided radio contact then. The Tour was a huge success inasmuch that there were no serious accidents, heat strokes, etc. Credit should also be given to other Hams that were with the Texas State Guard and helped with cross-communications. They were Ray Randall-N5MGH and Eddie Ingram-KD5VOW, both of Midland and Brian Irwin-N5CUB of Andrews. Many thanks to all, you did a great job!
