Nancy, K5NAA, appeared on KWEL AM1070 on June 22 discussing MARC's Field Day plans for this weekend.  On June 23, John, WA5PFJ, was a guest on KCRS AM550.  Good job Nancy and John!

Field Day is this weekend.  This year MARC will be conduct FD operations from our clubhouse.  We'll be operating from emergency power thus we'll be in the "E" class.

Field Day operating starts at 1:00 pm.  However, we'll begin setting up around 8:30 or 9:00 am Saturday morning.  The SSB station will be using the existing station.  The CW station will be set up in a trailer across the parking lot.  We may or may not have a VHF station in operation.

Come on out and enjoy Field Day 2011!

John Wilder, WA5PFJ, gave a presentation at the March 14 club meeting about the 2011 edition of the National Electrical Code as it applies to amateur radio.  You may download a PDF of the applicable section of the NEC here.
 
MARC Christmas Party! Print E-mail

The MARC Christmas Party will be held at Furr's Family Dining on Friday, December 17, at 6:00 pm. Furr's is located at Midkiff and Cuthbert in Midland.

The party will be held in the "Banquet Room" which is to the right in the main dining room. When you arrive just go through the line and come on into the banquet room. Everyone is responsible for their own meal.

We'll have installation of officers and, of course, lots of visiting! Hope to see you there!
