Congratulations to Robert Wood (W5AJ) of Midland for receiving the
ARRL's Triple Play WAS Award # 54 on January 27. Robert is the first
operator in the West Texas Section to receive the Triple Play Award and
only the 2nd Texan to qualify. The Triple Play requires an operator to
work and confirm QSOs with each of the 50 states on voice, CW and
digital modes. All 150 QSOs must be confirmed by the Logbook of the
World (LoTW).
Robert qualified for the ARRL's newest award in only 27
days!
